OtownGist Creative Hub is a media, AI literacy, and digital storytelling hub based in Owerri, Nigeria. We exist to bridge knowledge gaps that prevent ordinary people, communities, and institutions from fully participating in a rapidly evolving digital world.
Our work focuses on media literacy, responsible technology use, digital storytelling, and institutional communication — delivered through practical training, community engagement, and collaborative partnerships.
We believe access to knowledge is not a privilege. It is a foundation for dignity, participation, and progress.
Why us?
Our Story
OtownGist Creative Hub was born from years of hands-on media practice, community training, and digital engagement. Through our work, we observed a recurring pattern: talent was abundant, but access to the right tools, guidance, and confidence was not.
People were engaging with media and technology daily — yet often without the skills to question information, tell their own stories, or use digital tools responsibly.
The hub was created as a practical response to this reality.
Rather than operate only as a media platform or training center, OtownGist Creative Hub was designed as a learning and production space — where people can acquire skills, experiment, collaborate, and grow within a supportive environment rooted in local realities.
