OtownGist is looking for a Media Engagement Manager to lead our digital outreach efforts across social media, our website, and messaging platforms. This role is all about strategy, speed, creativity, and connection.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow OtownGist’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other platforms
- Publish news content swiftly across website and messaging channels (WhatsApp, Telegram)
- Respond to audience comments, messages, and feedback
- Design and implement digital engagement strategies to grow our online audience
- Monitor analytics and generate reports on post reach, performance, and engagement
- Collaborate with editorial and production teams to ensure relevant, timely content
Ideal Candidate
- Strong understanding of social media trends and tools
- Good writing and communication skills
- Familiar with using Meta Business Suite, Instagram Insights, and Telegram broadcast tools
- Able to work independently, manage time, and deliver results under pressure
- Video or podcast editing skills is a bonus
- Minimum of OND or its equivalent
